Adam Wright is the first mate on the High Standards out of Islamorada Florida. He has been sport fishing in Islamorada his whole life and professionally for 10 years. He grew up fishing with his father, a charter captain for many years and under the tutelage of a few very successful offshore captains as well. He fished in Nova Scotia for Giant bluefin tunas to fly-fishing for bonefish right here in Islamorada and all the freshwater species in between.
What he really loves about Islamorada is the variety of different fishes to target down here. “You’ve got everything;
great eating snappers and grouper right here on the reef, sailfish and wahoo and different mackerel are all right on the reef too and all of it just a few miles out of the dock”
